OPEN LETTER OF COMMENDATION TO OTUNBA SEGUN RUNSEWE ON EFFECTIVE CAMPAIGN TO STOP NUDITY IN NIGERIA

Our dear Otuba Runsewe, it is usually out of place for Nigerians to commend the government and its officials when they go out of their way to correct ills of the society.

An exception however, one must observe is the National Encomiun poured out to you concerning your dedication and wisdom to draw attention of Nigerians to the open deviant attitude of one Idris Okuneye known as Bobrisky and his gang.

As a notable public affairs commentator and columnist, i salute the courage of which you, Otunba Runsewe brought to bear, particularly on engaging our minds as fathers and mothers not excluding the young persons targeted by the likes of Bobrisky.

Indeed, it would be risky and become a National  past time soonest if you have not summoned courage to challenge these deviant characters and their supporters into silence.

Even though i do not speak for Nigerians, majority are happy and glad you took the frontal battle to this community of confusionists and upholders of negative and insidious appearances, however there is need to praise your effort and to which National newspapers such as Nigerian Tribune and the Vanguard had in their editorials observed not only as commendable but also examplary of the type of reaction and call to duty expected of our elected and appointed public officers.

And to those who are still playing the ostrich and looking for platforms to rubbish this singular effort to stamp out defiling spirits and nudity in Nigeria, we have resolved to pray that may their children and relations not excluding them, take to the pains of pretentious living as that of Bobrisky.  Our dear Otunba Runsewe, please continue to serve Nigeria to the best of your ability, encourage our return to best of our culture and also focus on our  youths as future defenders of our culture and develop cultural programmes that can help restore our pride in our heritage and history.

Nigeria may not have anything to give you and also there maybe many who can question your intentions to right the cultural wrongs in our dear nation but kindly note that the majority of Nigerians including the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari who appointed you, are happy at your dogged efforts to re-write the narratives of Nigeria culture, art and heritage history

Yours faithfully
